Dear Readers,

Having spent nearly my whole life involved in some aspect of music education, as a student of music (at home, in public schools, and at the university), as a music teacher (both in my home-based private music studio and in the public schools), and as a school administrator overseeing and striving to build an outstanding music program, I know firsthand how important music education is and can be for those involved, especially children. I recently came upon an article on the pbs.org website that outlined in a very nice way how music education benefits us, and thought I would share it as part of our first blog. It is very insightful, well written, and worth the few minutes that it would take to review. I share a link to the article below for your benefit, as you are likely reading this while considering registering yourself or your child in music classes or lessons at our new school, Prattland Music Adventures. I hope you will pursue these “music adventures,” and I wish you well in your decision!

Sincerely,

Dennis Pratt, Owner & Head Teacher of Prattland Music Adventures
