THREE SEMESTERS PER YEAR

1.

Lessons are based on three semesters per year, with 16 lessons per semester. In 2017, Winter Semester is January 2–April 22; Summer Semester is April 24–August 12; and Fall Semester is August 28–December 16. This gives families and teachers two weeks off in August and two weeks off in December.

2.

If students sign up for lessons in the middle of a semester, they will be charged for the months remaining in the semester.

TUITION DUE DATES

6.

Tuition is due by the 1st of every month. Students are encouraged to sign up for automatic payments on their debit or credit card. Prattland Music Adventures requires a debit or credit card on file even if the student does not request automatic payments.

7.

If tuition is not paid by the 1st, students will be removed from the lesson schedule until their balance is paid. Prattland Music Adventures will not guarantee that a student’s lesson time will be available once their balance is paid.

TUITION IS NON-REFUNDABLE

8.

If a student withdraws in the middle of the month, tuition will not be refunded.

9.

Tuition is not prorated for student absences (see Student Lesson Cancellation policy below).

10.

Tuition will not be refunded if a student cancels before the end of a month.  However, if proper notice of withdrawal is given, tuition for the next month may be prorated if students are continuing into the next month but unable to receive their lessons.

NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL

10.

Students must let the management of Prattland Music Adventures know they are withdrawing by the last day of the month or tuition for the next month will be charged and not refunded.

STUDENT LESSON CANCELLATION

If a student gives 24 hours advanced notice of an absence, they are eligible for a private make-up lesson with an available Prattland Music Adventures teacher when a teacher’s schedule permits.

12.

If a student gives at least seven days advanced notice of an absence, they are eligible for a private make-up lesson with their teacher when the teacher’s schedule permits.

14.

Tuition is not refunded or prorated for missed lessons.

15.

Students must always let Prattland Music Adventures management know of an absence or it will not be recorded.

TEACHER CANCELLATIONS

17.

If a teacher is unable to teach a lesson, and they give sufficient notice, Prattland Music Adventures will do their best to find a substitute to replace the teacher until they return. Students will not be refunded tuition or granted a make-up lesson if they do not want a substitute unless they give the proper notification (see above).

18.

If a teacher does not give enough notice of their absence and Prattland Music Adventures cannot find a substitute, students will be scheduled for a private make-up lesson when the teacher’s schedule permits.

19.

If a teacher does not show up for a lesson the student will not be charged for that lesson, as well as be granted a free lesson, and given the option to switch teachers if they desire to do so.
